About Us

The international Building Trade Fair, like most Belgrade Fair events, came from the Technical Fair – a unique “Mother of Fairs”.

In 1975, when it was taken away as a commodity group of the Technical Fair to special halls and then all the time till 1996, the Fair took place at the same time as the Technical Fair. When the importance of this economic branch and thereby also the importance and scope of the Building Trade Fair overcame the status of one of the events within the May Technical Days, Belgrade Fair decided to take out this specialized event to another date.

From that 1996 till today, the Building Trade Fair grew up more than three times by its engaged exhibiting space and the number of local exhibitors and six times by the number of international ones. The number of visitors is ten times higher.

The Building Trade Fair in Belgrade became the most important specialized fair event in this branch in the entire region of South East Europe.

The international importance confirmation of the International Building Trade fair in Belgrade is also its membership in the Union des Foires Internationales (UFI), in Paris, since October 1998.
